You're in great hands.

In 4 years of High School, 4 years of College, and 2 years of Graduate School, I learned innumerable things about a wide variety of topics, but the most important lesson I learned was this: the students who receive A's are not necessarily the most naturally gifted in the class, but are almost unanimously the hardest workers. Sooner or later, everyone finds themselves struggling to stay on top of their classwork, and when that happens, it's the diligent, not the brilliant, who come out on top.

That being said, I know that hard work doesn't always come easily, and motivation can be hard to come by. It's difficult to be studious when you've experienced little to no positive results from your efforts, or when you're lacking a passion for the material. That's where I come in, bringing over 2,000 hours of tutoring experience with me.

First, I help you gain a stronger understanding of the curriculum. Your teacher only has the time to explain things to you one way – their way – and if you're reading this, then odds are that way isn't clicking with the way you learn. I take the time to find the teaching method that gels with your thinking process, and then help you come at the concepts from different angles until they start make sense.

Furthermore, I teach you how to study efficiently, and manage your time on exams effectively. Test anxiety is a common problem, and over time it can leave a student feeling helpless and completely without confidence, perpetuating further struggles on exams. I'm a strong believer that success is a positive feedback loop, and sometimes it only takes a couple of good quiz grades to turn things around.

Finally, I find that learning is always easier when you're excited about the subject. If you're having trouble getting that gung-ho feeling about Algebra, or Calculus, or Kinematic Synthesis, don't worry. I've got more than enough enthusiasm for two people.
